Balkans Fire

So my friend just messaged me from the Balkans Frontline, and apparently the whole place has been burnt out for a controlled back burn. Everything is all greased up pretty bad. I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time this has happened (here or elsewhere). Anyone have any experience with how long it takes to naturally wash off, or should we just bring a brush next time?

Should be a fair bit of wind and rain this weekend so that should clean it up.

You go bouldering and leave your own spooge because you don't normally take a brush?

I had actually planned to be there the day of it, and was waiting for mates in Mill Rd when the firies turned up. A bit of rain and wind this weekend should get it in reasonable nick, and it'll be easier to find those overlooked lines further up or down the valley.

well i normally take a little brush, not a scrubbing brush. No experience with fire. I'll wait for some more rain and check it out. And was thinking the same thing, a bit of scrub clearing isnt necessarily a bad thing, especially when its 'condoned'

Underprepared. That's why you need a 10 litre chalk bag, so there's room for the 38 different brushes you might need!

I do actually have a quiver of brushes, including the hold cleaner on a pole, but that's mainly because I tend to not throw them out and sometimes find a new one left at a crag.
