It seems to me that some people can really be selfish. If it's out of your way or not advantageous to
you then it's an annoyance.
I'm assuming you guys are friends, so how about remembering some good ole times when favours
were exchanged. This 'certain person' (as you've labelled him) thatt you had to pick up. Hasn't he done
things for you in the past? Belayed you for hours whilst you dogged a route? Given a shoulder for you
to cry on because you couldn't get your heavy arse over the mantle? caught you on death route,
spotted you even though you were in solo territory whilst bouldering...Consoled you each time a girl's
broken your heart.
Certain acts strength a friendship. If you don't need friendships, fine, be selfish then.
Share the love man...

If they did all of that - then they'd be sharing something else as well no doubt.
