Sounds like your going to university in Melbourne. Each university has an outdoors club.
Melbourne University Mountaineering Club - MUMC
RMIT - Somethings.
Latrobe - LUMC
Each clubs runs trips to the main climbing areas of The Grampians and Mount Arapiles. As well as some of the lesser areas such as Camels Hump, You Yangs, Weribee George, Black Hill. Lots of international students join the outdoors clubs.

Melbourne doesn't have a great deal of extensive climbing nearby. Here is a list of crags and aprox distances to drive there from CBD.
You Yangs - small granite crag. 40 minutes drive
Camels Hump - volcanic sport climbing (mostly). 50 minutes drive
Werribie Gorge - volcanic face and crack climbing. Trad and sport. 1 hour.
Cathedral Ranges - sandstone, mostly multi pitch trad. 2 hours
Grampians - sandstone world class trad and sport. Massive area. 3 hours
Arapiles - world class trad. 3.5 hours
Mt Buffalo - granite slabs, cracks and multi pitch. 3.5 hours
You can find plenty more info by clicking on the guides section <-----

You missed the phenoms that are Lysterfield, Egg Rock, Ship Rock and of course Ben Cairn....not to mention the boulders at fed square and all the fine rock rock along the yarra and merri creeks.
How could a list be complete without the infamous and aptly named Kamikaze Wall??

Thank you guys you helped me a lot, 40 min to 2 hours driving is no problem . A year without climbing would be terrible ^^.
And again THANK YOU (:
