Fishboy please explain. Also what do the people who do it think are the best backcountry ski and boot options these days. - know nothing of tech talk. Weekend trips maybe in mind. Thinking aloud. Info appreciated

Mt Buller is a blob of sedimentary rock so not much chance of a granite climb there

Fishboy. Shouldn't that be "Does anyone have any grammar?" With perhaps a modifier like 'on chockstone' or 'in modern times' or 'anymore'.
PS: Happy now. I shouldn't log on without my glasses or morning coffee.

When I attempt to correct someone else, I make sure, usually by rechecking my own post in excess of 5 times, that I got it right myself.

My post used punctuation, and in the world of forums, short statements like mine are quite acceptable. Or so I thought...

You spelt grammar interestingly.

I always thought that the west ridge at Buller is made of something volcanic and sh1tty. Definitely not granite. In any case I probably wouldn't go there if it wasn't all frozen together (though when it is properly frozen together it's quite good). There are some short granite cliffs near the enzian lodge, so there's definitely granite in the area, but not on the west ridge.

It's actually the Pic of The Week. The Yosemite caption thingy is just a red herring to stop them Welshies north of the border from coming south and drilling holes in all our lovely peaks.

You're a knob Fish Boy.
I believe that's grammatically correct and more importantly a statement of fact. ;-)

Buller has got a few home grown holes already, courtesy of;
