Is the Asteroid better than the Dinosaur or are they about even?

Which is the arete and which is the face? I liked the L hand one (move across to the arete) best.

asteroid is one of my favorite climbs around. I find dinousaur a bit of a one move wonder, where as asteroid is a bit more sustained, well as sustained as it can be for 15 meters.

who does just one? If you're going to walk up the gully you might as well make a day of it.

Asteroid gets my vote. And I also really enjoyed Scylla, the grade 15 access climb

So why is it better? I abseiled down it after doing somthing else nearby and it looks nice and sustained all the way up - certainly more appealing than Riddled! Dinosaur looks interesting though too.

scylla followed by asteroid makes a good link up, but be aware, scylla is not a walk over (for a 15). Then follow it up with dinosaur, then, if your adventurous, finish off with king rat. If your super adventurous try glory rodent (21/22 I Think), if thats a bit much, try Catcher (17) for some great crack, right up the back of gully, then scramble up, continue back further, orange wall on left, good clean fun, worthy of stars.

I think I once climbed a 14/15 just left of Scylla A steep little crack that leads into the same line. - is that right? I recall that being quite stiff for the grade. Anybody done any of the routes along the wall where Coke Adds Life and Skydiver are?

Scylla is the left one at 15, chaybdis is the right one 14. Sky diver wall's got some great climbs, they're all good, nice and steep.

Glory Rodent's not as bad as it looks. I fell off it the first time I tried it coz I made the mistake of
putting my hands in the crack. Next shot, I ignored the crack except for pro and just treated it as
a steep face climb. It was rather nice as I recall.

Ah that makes sense - I was thinking Scylla was the RH one.

has anyone else done scylla and then instead of stepping off left onto ledge continued up to the right up the hand crack and then about another 7 or so metres on 17/18 face climbing on top of the block? its not in the latest or sheppard guide.. quite nice tho
