Hadn't been down the far southern end of the Vic Range for years and the last information I saw (Vic Range Update 1994) had it that Geerak Track was impassable south of Roadside Crag and also the section at the start near Glenelg River Road.
These days the road is open all the way and trafficable by 2 WD with care.
It's a bit stony near the north end and there are a couple of sandy patches up that end too. There's a "No Through Road" sign at the Geerak Track-Glenelg River Road-Harrop Track intersection but there doesn't seem to be any reason for it. At the southern end, the last kilometre or so of Geerak Track is closed, but Carlsens Road takes you that last bit to McCutcheon's Road.
