I'll be in Mansfield for a few days over the xmas break. I might have to pack the pad and get out there one day myself.
Although - I'm nursing a tweaked finger at the moment - granite crimps might not be too friendly......
@ Bl@ke: If you've got any suggestions as to where to go, I'm all ears...

I'm from Shepp and I know the Boho, Barjarg, Lima area like the back of my hand because I used to go up there every weekend with my family.
I'll be back for Christmas so I'd love to help develop the area with you. I'll bring my bouldering pad.

Awesome I will bring a beenie and 10 litres of chalk - I am sure my in laws wont mind if I borrow the matress off the bed I am staying either !

Its OK M9 the Mrs will be there to take photos hold Ts shirts, climb a little and then cheer when we tick a FA. Its all sorted.

Ill bring my chalk bucket. And a boom box for tunes jks. Maybe an elactric drill with a wire brush attatchment :)

So just to throw it out ther I will be in the area 23rd and 24th so whos gonna be around on those days ?

I've tried the circular wire brush attachment on the drill with little luck. The best brushes I've used have close and stiff nylon bristles. Get ones with a "knuckle duster" handle.
A good spray of roundup the week before always helps.

I should be able to do it. Ill let ya know. The anoyyin thing about mass is when you need a hold so you scrub off a big fat chunk and there is nothin! its verticle rock! grrr
