Anyone got a pair of decent condition strap-ons lying around? I'd prefer large, black and pointy ones.
Get your mind out of the gutter. I mean the cramp-on kind of strap-ons. Looking to dip my toes into a bit of mountaineering (and hopefully not lose them to frostbite).
Shoot me a PM? I'm in Melbourne.

No second-hand ones lying around, but I was looking at ordering some from the US if you're interested in splitting an order to save on postage. Cost would be $140-150 AUD including shipping for Camp Stalker 12-point steel crampons. Sorry, they're not black.

Do you want stiff or flexible? I have an unused pair of stiffs somewhere

Can't believe i didn't think to include that. Although the thought of stiff strap-ons appeals, these will be used for snow slopes and such - little to no mixed/ice climbing. Guess that means i'm looking for flexible?

I've got an old pair of Grivel G12's I'd be happy to pass on cheaply, but they need a heel welt, they're not full strap-ons. Similar to the current model ( http://www.grivel.com/products/ice/crampons/5-g12 ) but bigger heel lever and rubber antibot plates.

You need to match the flexibility of your crampons to the flexibility of your boots. If don't have rigid boots, you don't want rigid crampons.

Boots are not full rigid and have no crampon welts - really looking for the flexy strapon type :)
