I give classic of misinformation 3 stars.
It includes shots of famous sport climbers running it out on a chain of draws on crazy slabs:-

Spewing... I would have bought it off you. Lent my copy to someone years ago and never seen it since.

Not that desperate. The front cover can tear shreds off just looking at it, let alone wearing it.

Ay kman bro, check your second copy as it may have simey's name and address inside the front cover.
If it has, for simey and your sake I hope you haven't posted off the other copy yet.

C'mon mikl bro. Since when did sport climbers ever climb slabs at Booroomba?
Dog help us if they ever discover that low angle stuff can be fun, as they will likely come and sanitise the bolt spacing there cos it don't fit their mentality.

Years ago when it first came out, I bought a copy of it for a climbing mates birthday present, and gave it to him just before I went overseas for an extended period.

After I had got back to Australia (and also quite some time later), I decided to buy another copy for myself but it was unavailable due being out of print and no stocks left here.
I managed to track down a copy in excellent condition sourced from a second hand dealer in USA, through a local antique-books store.
If I recall correctly, it cost me something in the vicinity of Aust $100, so kieranl has given an excellent bargain to the lucky buyer of his 2nd copy.

Graeme Hill, 1979 I'm guessing

Choice reply bro.
Not being around like you were back then I was confusing modern spurt climbers with the original sporting climbers.
I guess they had to be sporting types ay, due the long runouts and subtle perplexities of route finding on intimidating high angle slab.

Hard to tell from the photo but it looks like climber doesn't have a rope, is effectively soloing but covering a spicy move by chaining all his pro back to a single nut, located about waist level off to his right. He probably back cleaned it by flicking it out from above when at chains end.
These are not the preferred antics of modern sport climbers.

Did you take the pic?

This got me searching and I learned that a copy is around $35 delivered.

So I'm getting one delivered!

I am pleased for you!
Times have obviously changed with the interweb cutting out middle-men etc, though I am also surprised at how cheap you have managed to track it down for.

Unlike mikl's comment about 'misinformation' I reckon it is a great read, and the routes* it contains very well documented.

(*At least the ones I have climbed / am familiar with. )

Post edit:
DD, the picture mikl posted from it was taken by Joe Friend according to the accreditation accompanying it, and my perusal of the original within the book lines up with your 'sporting climber' scenario deduction.

I was the lucky recipient of Kierans copy (thanks a lot Kieran). I reckon its a great read an further more i think its an awesome tick list. I was working towards aiding ozy and passport this yr and now it has expanded to a lifetime goal (young family) of climbing all of the routes written up in the book. I have a head start on a few lines but i'm stoked on this idea!
I'm sure I'm not the 1st to think of this. If you've had a crack did you get there or what's left to do on the list if you are still going?

Don't forget a few are now banned. Without hunting out my copy, the Mantleshelf at 3 Sisters and the route on Uluru are out, and I can't remember what's in for the 'Bungles.
