I have two Motorola T5422 walkie talkies spare which is now surplus due to new purchase.

Used on trips to Chamonix, Greenland, Norway and Morocco (MdS) with great success..

Forgive my dumbness; why are they perfect for Nth Hemisphere travelers? Can these be used in Australia, with a charger adaptor?

I'm interested if they can be used out here.

You're forgiven...

Due to the frequencies they have been assigned (locked in) they are suitable for the northern hemisphere... - you have x amount of frequencies which all work 'up there'
