Hmmm .... ok, so it's:

Dinners and maybe Sunday lunch if we have any left over:

Thai salad, with a choice of beef or tofu, my favourite Thai dressing learnt from watching little Thai ladies at work with their mortar and pestle, lashings of cashews, bean shoots and coriander, served on bed of rice. (Tofu option is vegan, both gluten free)

Creamy chicken and mushroom risotto (gluten free)

Available all day:

Pumpkin, feta and basil quiche (vego)

Roo lasagne

Brown rice and lentil salad (vegan and gluten free)

Then there is
Chocolate and berry ricotta cake
A standard chocolate cake for traditionalists
Orange and poppyseed cake
Chocolate brownies

and hopefully i will get onto a carrot cake and gluten free cake of some sort, time allowing.

Also there are new exciting beers (those following these posts for a while will have noticed that the word 'beer' is always preceded by 'exciting')
From Red Duck (craft brewers from Ballarat) we have a Hoppy Amber (not very hoppy but a nice amber), the Pale Rider - an interesting light flavoured pale ale - and the best of the three, The Tiger, a strong pale ale with quite some character.
From Little Creatures a Single Batch Red Indian Pale Ale, well they call it an IPA but it's more a red ale with a blush of hops, and Bostons Mill Pale Ale, an American style pale ale with a nice amount of hoppiness. Who would have thought that not only would America become the leader of the craft brewing movement but that Australian brewers would start imitating not only their style but their labelling? Life is full of surprises.

Cheers!
Douglas
