Still have this Limelight 2 that I need to get rid of.
I've only used it for two nights on the one weekend, but now that I've spied a slightly longer and more visually appealing tent (note the gear-junkie tendencies). Getting rid of it because my head and toes touch the ends and it's more annoying than I first thought :-)

It comes with gear loft and footprint, three poles. You can set up the footprint+fly only for extra lightweight action if needed.
Link to what it looks like/specs is here:

how about $200 and I'll pay the postage? PM me if you're interested?

I found the WE Dart2 is a nice long tent for taller peeps: http://www.wildequipment.com.au/tent_detail.php?Code=WEDART275

Which long tent are you looking at?

Heya, I'm looking at the BD Mesa tent

While I've been looking at WE tents I'm just not sure about the ropey bits holding things all together. Also, as with the Mesa (and the Marmot) I do prefer the higher dome-type, oblong structure so i/we can sit up in them and eat or cook or whatever. Really vertical walls is the thing for me. The one you show seems to be the "sloping" and "thinning" type, which I guess I'm just not a fan of :-)
Mmmm, new stuff...
(Being able to sit up with two others in my bibler in NZ recently was a god send - it meant we three could eat our own meals in the tent while not being eaten by sandflies at the same time)

It's also a bomber tent! Comes with a footprint, even though you may not really need it and all!

Considered the exped venus 2 series tents as well? They look like a very similar spec to the BD one. Think there is a new lightweight version out too.

Mmmm gear.

So I've been told that if I don't pay $1400 to replace my shockabsorbers i'm going to die in an horrific fiery crash on a freeway. While I don't believe them I'm wary enough to see about doing it sooner rather than later given all the freeway trips i'm doing this winter.
The tent is still for sale. It's been used a few more times. Still mint condition except for a random pen mark on the top of the fly..
Stove gone, tent still longing to be used...

Just replace the front shockers, we have a Renault ( Scenic Megane Will not ever buy another modern Renault) and that's what we did, but we had to pay $1200- just for the front 2

Hmm. The question is, were they in need of replacing because you hoon down corrugated mountains roads at 80km/h+ without a care? - Often!
I'm just going on that's how much it will cost because I already paid to have my brakes replaced and that's the residual... I'm going to speak with the local Bob Jane that I usually go to (initially quoted by Krap-Mart). Surely they do it too?

Oh I'm careful, just faast.
Really annoyed that the road from Mt Beauty to Falls has been downgraded to 60 and 80, used to be a fun drive, boring now

I looked with interest / intention, but that waned after I noted the 2.1 kg all up weight from the specs within the link.
It is certainly light, but not enough for what I am looking for...*
(*Even the one in the other thread current at the moment is still too heavy at 'Weighs 1736 gms' for my need!, though I note it already has an interested buyer.)

Yep the barrel. I wonder if c--kroaches can swim after they have their guts edited out of them?
;-)
