Hi guys
I promised to let you know how we went with this.
ACAQ had a meeting with DERM this week and the outcome was that due to overwhelming response from the climbing community, the proposal to introduce permits for climbing at Mt Coolum has been shelved. You can read ACAQ's update here
We won.
Of course, the war (reconciling climbing in Australia's parks with relevant land managers) is far from over, but in this particular battle, we have prevailed.

I don't keep a close enough eye on this forum so missed your request for emails. I just wanted to add my congratulations to your success. Bloody brilliant effort from everyone involved. The tiny minority that climbing is can have a strong voice. Really encouraging.
