It's actually a reference to a certain person who found God. But a good segue to funny/blasphemous rout names.

How about "Dog is great" Central Gully left side at Araps.

Read "God is not Great" by Christopher Hitchens, or anything by Sam Harris or Dan Dennet. Hitchens especially isnt afraid on tackling the other religions but Islam is probably highest for him, then Judaism and Christianity.. depends on who is debating though. But honestly, well worth the google if anyones interested in that stuff.. as I am

I'm a devout atheist but I really enjoy learning about other cultures and beliefs. I spent about half a day with a bunch of Mormons in St George (Utah) at the winter home of Brigham Young. I was very impressed by their tales of surviving persecution and building Salt Lake City from scratch. Their religion seemed quite moderate really, and the society they have built by themselves was impressive. His house was very simple for a religious leader (compared to the insanity of wealth that is the Catholic Church!), and he seemed to really care for his 'flock'. I enjoyed Utah a lot more than I enjoyed Nevada. The Mormans don't need to hypothesize about hell - they just need to drive 50km south to see it in reality.

Don't worry about that, as when you find the beer it won't be watered down (they have standards)

I for one appreciate your desire in seeking payback for the inquisition and persecution of times past. I feel this topic will go a long way to asuage the anguish of the dearly departed. I'm not so sure Christianity's ready to throw in the towel just yet so your prayer for the dead might be a bit premature.

Christians are easy targets because most of them tend to ignore jibes and ridicule and unless you happen to own/operate an abortion clinic in the deep south (USA) you're not likely to be killed for your ridicule or anti-Christian actions. While we're all supposed to be 'brothers and sisters in Christ', we Christians do a good enough job of slagging each others beliefs.

I'm all for questioning religion but you're kidding yourself if you feel that this topic is about questioning Christianity. It's taking the mickey pure and simple.

You were drinking in the wrong places Rod. You can get full strength beer at plenty of places. Either you didn't do your research or you're just complaining because you can. Think of the dodgy liquor laws as the price of admittance for amazing mountain biking, climbing and snowboarding/skiing

And the enjoyment of not having to deal with drunken f---wits stumbling around picking fights after a big night out. I'd personally be quite happy with restricted alcohol laws if it stops the violence and depression I see outside my work every day (i work just behind the Oxford Street nightclub district in Sydney).

I was just being flipant Miguel...but the alcohol laws are very strict when compared to other states though things are changing slowly....alot of reforms came in 2009 which made a big difference...but the law is there limiting beer strength.....

"Current Utah law sets a limit of 3.2 percent alcohol by weight (4 percent by volume) in beer sold at grocery and convenience stores and at establishments operating under a "beer only" type license, such as taverns, beer bars and some restaurants.[4] Beer over 3.2 percent by weight (4 percent by volume) is available in State Liquor Stores and Package Agencies and at clubs and restaurants licensed to sell liquor."
Ie beer on tap is limited to 3.2 %

Agreed small price to pay for great skiing, which was there for...its just a quirk of the US that you find very different attitudes and legislation in different states in the US....when Australia which is just as large in size as the US is mostly uniform in its laws.

No worries Rod. Where did you ski? I spent 7 years at Snowbird loving every inch of the wasatch front. I miss skiing and boarding in my backyard too...

Ok that's much easier than parrying your inscrutable dogma.

Try this one: Every time you have a wank god kills a kitten.

Stayed in Park city for 15 days and also hit Deer Valley and The Canyons while there. Awsome skiing and for a US destination a great pick for the short stay...ie 40mins from major airport and low base elevation means jet lag minimum and altitude adjustment nil.

Left the day the Sundance circus started.

Wanted to get to snowbird/alta and brighton/solitude but didnt have a car and transfer was to much considering we had some much skiing on free shuttles around us....next time ill probably hit both those places up.

Don't we measure alcohol content by volume? So the 4%abv limit is the one you should be comparing?

Haha! this is the first time i've opened up this thread and instead of a religious debate, I see alcohol content being discussed.

I mean, to be honest, It really doesn't surprise me given that on-topic chockstone debates usually only last 3-4 posts.

That said, I couldn't be bothered reading the previous posts, so in that case, i'm going to assume that full strengthisism is the new religion. i'd like to sign up. Who do I have to pay?
