For example - latest Rock. Full of fuzzy chinned pebble pulling wookies.

From a marketing perspective its pretty clear that if bouldering is going to keep cool you need the full "back, sack and crack" treatment in every published photo. How else are you going to get the "pink pound" into the sport - that's where the money is.

Oh No, not you again!

Don't you realise the entire outdoor scene was started with people with beards
Chris Bonington, Doug Scott, Don Whillans, guess what they all had - yep, BEARDS!

If you want to make more money than Simeys cafe at Easter, open a Brazilian waxing salon next to Golden Streak. Sit out the front with a blue singlet and some hand shears, show off your tatts and they'll come from miles around.

You Poms just lost at cricket again, and your wickie's got a ........oh wait a minute, ..... a BEARD!

I am pretty sure that these guys had beards for completely different reasons to the current band of boulderers.

Could the mods please bin this thread? The title is simply gross, and I'm not talking about the beards. It's garbage, can we be rid of it?

Jesus H Christ. Rickardo you are so last year man. All the wafer thin fashionable young men (as pointed out by Musique) in the art scene are bearded. Why shouldn't that fall over into the equally fashion obsessed world of boulderers.

And crack back and sack was more a habit of bogans who wanted to be porn stars.

Or folks who enjoyed puberty so much they wanted to experience it again, and again , and again.

I didn't say good fashion. (In fact the word fashion does not accept quantifiers). What about beanies? And are you telling me the mats aren't a fashion accessory?

I want skinny jean wearing chumps with bad sunglasses and deathtrap fringes to F.O.A.D. so beards go back to being the preserve of real men with only 1 mother. But do you think it's gonna happen???

not going to happen whilst the baristas have beards. you can trace most of these horrible fashions to the barista.

One so ironically post-emo long it's not allowed on public transport for safety reasons.

(prior appology to Hamster as this may offend, hope it doesn't)

Hampster in a Bavarian Hampster kind of way makes me think of beavers

A bird in the bush is worth two in the hand.

Does not everything make you think of beavers?

This thread is f---ing retarded. There are phtoos of 2 people in the current Rock with beards - some kiwi guy and James Trainer (nee Scarborough). James is hardly what you'd call metrosexual, and he has his shirt on and no beanie in any of the photos. There are photos of (at least) Chris Webb, James Kassay and Ben Cossey bouldering without beards.

In conclusion, the OP is a f---ing arsehat.
