It's an understatement to say that what these guys are doing is pretty awesome, but obviously the two climbers are at different stages of the climb...is tommy belaying jorgeson on every attempt of his to catch up and vice versa? Clearly there is the media circus going on about this, ring in food etc. i don't give a rats arse about that sort of help, but I kinda think there is something cool about it being the guys doing all the climbing shit together without help - ie the climbing and belaying as a team. Otherwise it seems like two ascents very close to each other as opposed to a singular "fa".
Anyone know of what is going on in that regard.

Stugang, here's an explanation/FAQ by Alex Honnold and Beth Rodden.

Thanks, so it seems like tommy has been descending to belay Jorge.

According Tommy's wife, Kevin has ticked all the pitches to Winno Tower now.
Off to work:

As an unfit old fart I appreciate the fact that on their 'rest' days while well into their adventure push time-wise, and belaying after jumaring the five intervening pitches (pitches 15-20), they are supremely fit athletes, as that distance could easily be close to 300 m (an Ozymandias of height), and wastes many alone without throwing in leading hard pitches too.
I wonder how long it will be before this route becomes a target for speed-records? (Touched on in the FAQ article).
I also wonder if Alex Honnold will give it a shot, not as a speed attempt though presumably as a roped ascent.
Plenty of other contenders out there too...

In another article, Honnold states that the hardest pitch of the climb is beyond his abilities. He had a go last season as did Sharma.

I just tuned in and watched 5 minutes of a guy in a red jacket seconding the top pitch. When he got to the top he got a big hug from the guy belaying him in the yellow jacket. Presumably that's it done then? Unless the guy in the red jacket still needs to lead that top pitch? ...

I can't post the image because the new filtering rules think it's suspicious.

Curious that they were wearing helmets for the final push. Perhaps concerns that the number of people milling around on the exit slabs might kick stuff off?
