Training Forum on CS?

Do you think having a training forum on ChockStone would be of benifit to help others with their own training and produce stronger and more skilled, less injured climber?

I personally think it would be of great benefit to a lot of us, including myself. Sharing ideas and routines you use or have seen and want to find more out about. Different cross training technique etc the list could go on and on.

There is never any training sections in the mags here in Oz and as we have to wait 2.5 month between edition I just can't wait that long.

After searching high and low on the net it could become a good recourse for many.

I think this thread sums up what it would look like:

The odd helpful reply, no shortage of guffaws.

I think it's a great idea. The problem can be - sometimes - that good, sensible training advice can get buried under a pile of piss-taking and bagging out of people's questions (mostly good hearted of course) but that can be intimidating for some of us and you sometimes get scared to ask a "dumb" question as a result. It also means that some of the young 'uns try to take on too much without the skill/practice required. So a sensible, supportive and encourgaging training/learning thread would be fabulous...

And as mentioned above, if it doesn't work out it can be removed.

This is always the problem with any forum/s. Some members just can't help themselves.

The ideal is to help any person with any question. Shearing the love, building bigger a better cranking machines.

What do you say ChockStone ?

If the Forum was broken down into sub categorise such as, power training, endurance training, finger boarding, system boarding, cross training. It would make most posts of ideas and questions, file correctly. There could even be a sub category for training web links.

Is anyone that interested in training to use all those sub catagories? A forum solely on fingerboards?

Don't over think it dude.

Re-title this thread as The Official Training Thread.

Why complicate things with multiple forums and threads when
google will fish what everything you want from the thread? Case
in point: You put this thread in the General Climbing Discussion
forum. It should be in the Chockstone Feedback forum. As it is
a discussion about the structure of Chockstone and not a
discussion about climbing. If you can't get it right, how are all the
useless sods on Chockstone going to get it right?

Rename this thread, post your questions, weed through the dross
for useful info and links and be done with it:) If you are really
ambitious you can keep your first post updated with a list of links
pulled from the discussion. If you want it, you make it!

Widewetandslippery walked into climbing shop and asked for a finger board, and the shop assistant gave him one.

WWS enters Mounting Disasters. An effeminate shop assistant approaches him. "Are you being served", he asks in a very camp manner.

“I’d like a finger board please”, says WWS.

“Hmmm”, says Shop Assistant. Turning to the rear of the shop, Shop Assistant Calls out, “Mrs Slokum, are you free?”

Mrs Slokum replies, “I’m just stroking my pussy. What do you want?”

“This gentleman would like a finger board”, he says.

“Well, why don’t you give him one”, she replies.

“Hmmm, he’s not really my type; but if you insist”, turning back to WWS, “Would you like to follow me into the change room sir?”
