I love how they take a toothbrush and paste to 6400m, but don't appear to take gloves above that to 6800m - they are hard core. Perhaps gloves get in the way of blogging at that altitude - alas I will never know.

He's even wearing Simey's kneepads!

I wonder why they used climbing shoes - to prove their robot is so good it can walk in uncomfortably tight shoes?

An article appeared in the Aussie Guardian about Telstra's plan to use home wifi for their network

with a picture entitled "A rock climber gets access to his tablet, thanks to advances in technology."

Clearly lack of wifi at major crags has been holding back the sport in this country.

This one has also started making the rounds. Perfect if you were looking for just the right $1300 vest to go offwidthing in.

Classic!
But jeez, using a Daisy to clip in? Definite deal-breaker there . . .

I love this line...
"Not a fan of indoor rock climbing gyms (''Climbing outdoors is Jesus, climbing inside is the devil''), Miller tries to head to climber's heaven Mount Arapiles, in western Victoria, about once a month."

All I can say to that Dan is that given that you have only been attending Church once a month, then you can expect eternal damnation at City Hardrock.

That they are! I work in an office....but have it written into my contract that I can wear sneakers and not go to meetings.

So in the corporate world but not...It's great when people ask for the manager and then watch them realise it is me. Makes for some entertaining and squirmish moments as they give me the once over. Then the look on their faces when I open my mouth...
