So anyone who has been before wanna tell us what happens (beside killing lots of innocent wildlife!)

Now I heard rumours of a dance party? Now should I be thinking good saturday night at super club or footy/netball social? x

It is all here.

... but to possibly answer your question of;
>Now I heard rumours of a dance party? Now should I be thinking good saturday night at super club or footy/netball social? x

~> this is an extract from the link.

WUNDER BAR Sat9pm @ Soldiers Memorial Hall

LetThe Adult Youth Of Today* lead you astray with their famous Wunder Bar; c--ktails, palmistry, dancing girls and tight red track suit pantZ. Wot more could you want at a party? OK, we’ll throw in an outdoor 16mm film theatrette too and some exotic lounge music, soviet boyfriends, a dancing horse, funky break-beat, sexy house, beer, champagne and matching red track suit tops!

Featuring mutant cabaret act THE TOWN BIKES - part burlesque, part slapstick, part sick-joke and part sexed-up rock eisteddfod, these prancing ponies are compelled to dance, laugh (make others laugh) and show-off. Using backing tracks and a carefully selected array of wilfully disparate props and costumes, the girls cajole, amuse and confuse in short machine gun bursts, leaving you knocked for six and pining for more. * winners of this year’s Melbourne Fringe ‘outstanding design’ & ‘culture lab’ award. woo hoo!

That is a quote from the 2007 Frinj program. The New program should be up shortly, perhaps tomorrow. And yes, there will be a dance party but not by Adult Youth who burnt people and some of the hall last time.

There is nothing wrong with few burnt people so long as the party is fantastic... which it was. But I reckon this year the dance party will be even better, despite the fact that explosions and burnt people have been left off the programme.

I dunno the smell of burning flesh is never a pleasant smell.

Did I hear rumours of an astronomy thing too on the sat night? x

Thats not what you said last time we shared a campfire. If I remember correctly you said,
"Mmmm Mmmm that smells like bacon." This as I dropped the pot with the glowing
handle and admired my crispy golden brown fingertips.

Bugga. After so many links over the years, a bad one was bound to happen sooner or later...
~>Still, if the enthusiasm has not waned since then, the old link would indicate that the next event looks like being a ripper.

People got burned? wasnt it because the plane crashed? did that freaky space lizard ever get captured or
is it still roaming around Natimuk? I still have nightmares.

Thanks Hero. Is it a fun astronomy film? cos the toss up between that and the dance party...

I also heard that you can get facepainting done - now is this just for kids or can I get my face painted? I've not had that done for ages... now glow in the dark facepainting would be well cool for the dance party - do you reckon they'll do that?

Egosan - you are a muppet!!! -what were you thinking - Hmmm that pan has been in the fire long enough for the water to bubble and boil - it won't be hot if i pick it up by the metal handle...

I don't think the frinji organisers will burn people alive - just realised - you lot don't celebrate bonfire night - that's my fave uk festival.x

Some of us have very bad associations with large fires these days.

Perhaps he was thinking the same thing that led him to reach for that spear-shaped branch to catch his fall a couple of months back?! ; )

If I could be a muppet, I would be the Swedish Chef.

Trivia / feedback.

There may well be more than one Nati Fringe thread on Chocky (this one being quite old as 2009), but this is the first that came up in my search so here is where I'll post a bit of trivia I just heard on local ABC radio...

Apparently Rutherglen (small rural town in NE Vic) is projecting 'local stories' onto their silos this coming Saturday evening as a free community event. They got the idea from the Nati Fringe where the Rutherglen-ites considered it was a great success, and Greg Pritchard was mentioned as being of great assistance to them in how to go about it.
Well done Nati Fringe!
