Tell the allies that. To quote a friends student writing a poem for Hiroshima peace day:

In a flash
You are ash
We won

I think what happened at the Pines that night was an American style response to an american problem?

The account is still there. orwell edited his user profile to change his user ID. (Have been known to do that myself!) ...
Whether or not he chooses to continue to participate is another matter.

Ear Plugs anyone?

If you come to the pines and you want to sleep bring them.

They are also usefull if you are a shit kicker.

Thats why construction workers wear them so they can have a wilderness expirience from the cab of a bulldozer.

There is nothing better than big yellow machines for boys who arnt so good with the ladies...

It's not pc, and no I haven't met him, but I was delighted to hear that dickhead had been nailed with a
hammer. It was exactly what I was thinking after he was a right pain in the ass at Goatfest. To quote
Leunig "how wonderful" (sorry Michael)

holy hell Doug, it's not just not pc is positively barbaric! Go pick up a hammer and swing it around a bit, maybe throw it at a few fragile head size objects and contemplate if any reasonable person could lob that into someone's head, front, behind or whatever, no matter how annoying they were.

Go take a walk through the waiting room of your nearest large hospital and tell us if you
still believe that crap. Assault with a hammer (even a mallet) can kill, maim, cause any
one of many disabilities. Whether or not it does so in this case is irrelevant.

If that hammer blow had killed one of those guys (unlikely but possible) would
you still be spouting this inanity?

I would say, a little on the harsh side, but understandable.

I'd be interested to know if this incident has put a dent (pun intended) on John's partying ways. If he doesn't get the hint this time - what do people have to do!

Hopefully it won't stop John and the boys partying. I visit the Pines purely to hang out with this crowd.

Don't fall into the trap of regarding partying as being synonymous with keeping others awake and showing little or no regard for those around you.

Similarly wanting some sleep after midnight is hardly synonymous with being a "boring asshole" as CJ put it.

It IS possible to party in the pines, then if you're still going hard after midnight shift to plaque rock or the fire dam or something.

I agree, whilst both sides have taken the higher moral ground, neither seemed to show respect for each other
