That's one way to transmit some of those nasty infections ..

Jason's apologies all accepted and no infections transferred because everyone in the vicinity of the permanent camp in the pines are wearing full body infection control suits.
Thanks people for your support too.

Hey arseholes...I have it in writing from the king of the stamp collecting
club (AKA chockstone moderator) that it is OK to call EVERYONE an arsehole,
but not anyone in particular.
Sorry mulchy and sorry wombat for calling you arseholes. I won't do it again.

Wendy, would you mind re-naming this the Chockstone "Personal Growth" thread?

The heads up PM to you was not meant to be ambiguous and I have no humour today.
It is a public Forum, and this is not the first time that you have been warned.
Have some time out for a while.

It seems a little over the top to be stopping Stugang from contributing. He is definitely one of the more enlightened and entertaining souls to post on Chockstone.
I would rather you ban people for too many boring posts rather than the odd post that pushes boundaries.
Or if you are going to ban people, do it for these offences...
- too many LOLs
- too many ;)
- too many heh, heh, heh

uh oh.. maybe instead you have to post a photo of yourself every time you post so people can see what mood you are in. and stats of the number of days/hours since you last got out climbing (and last got some..)
for another improvement everyone should follow this guideline when posting- http://speaklolspeak.com/page/LOLspeak+101

No I think it comes back to a lack of feeling or 'soul' - the 'love' of climbing . . .
I know some climbers do not love their fellow climbers; and I hate people like that . .
We need more empathy - when did you last think " I empathetic " - Be honest now . . .
Try this - stare at yourself in the mirror, look deep in your eyes and say ' You AreSoul ' . . .
Hopefully there is something in this for all of us, rock on and take air out there . . .

So it seems that calling people arseholes will only get you a slap on the wrist, but defying the authority of the supreme moderator gets you booted. Meanwhile on the same thread some total c--khead can call a girl a nazi and drag her personal life onto the web without any sort of reprimand.
I'm standing in solidarity with stugang, couldn't really be f---ed looking at this forum when it's run by arseholes for arseholes......adios, c--ts!

Not that his profile means much as he has assumed the persona of someone else. Clue to who ODH really is: an older Canberra climber - his picture is in the Canberra Granite Guide.

I think the mods did a good job of letting the site participants complete the 'self-moderating' process on that one, but I don't know what may have gone on behind the scene with it, and feedback from the participants on this thread indicates it is now all good.

I think the sillyness on Chocky lately has degenerated a notch or two; ... so good on the moderators, and I am glad they make a call from time to time. I doubt their task is an easy one due to the diversity of opinions out there and middle ground will always be too much/not enough for some.
If the silent majority wanted to read sillyness with bad language then I am sure sites like Crag-X would see larger audiences and participation posts.
