The wind is from the North, the air pressure is dropping nicely - there's plenty of moisture on the radar - the front looks like it is only just entering Vic (from the west of course). A few more hours at least...

It's finally dropped to 0 C at Mt Ginini (ACT). Snow on the Brindabellas this week!

anyone been out in NSW backcountry yet?
Richards frontcountry reports (the link form wilderness sports weather website) is a nice source of info for those anticipating....

well we managed to get up to the little feathertop summit. Lots of fresh snow up there, thigh deep in some places. we headed back after deciding gale force winds and severe weather wouldn't be very pleasant! had fun all the same though.

Thats good news, hopefully head up in a fortnight. How much is the gate price to get up the hill? is it cheaper if you arent heading to the resort?
