He is climbing well which is great to see - but the most successful ever by an Australian most probably not. For example of just a few:
Garth - sport in Europe and America Second only 8B+ onsight at the time
Saxon - Europe and America - many hard ascents.
Dave Jones - Many hard Grit routes in the 90's
Matt Adams - Sport and Bouldering
Chris Ellis - Bouldering
just to name a few. Then there will be many others who have travelled, done well yet going unreported.

Toby seems to have no fear, saw him 'soloing' the first pitches of a few climbs on Taipan wall because all he had was a rope and draws. Scared me enough to lend him a bunch of wires and cams.

As a full time climber for the last several years (climbing pretty much every day), I think he must have a very firm grasp of exactly what he is capable of. Something us weekend warriors just don't have enough rock time to develop to the same degree.
Plus, he seems to be able to climb quite well ; )
