My hot tip for those who hate ripping hair out when removing tape, get in touch with your inner lady and shave your hands and wrists! Sure you feel a bit stupid doing it, but it makes tape removal a breeze!

I used to shave my hands to tape up because I couldnt handle the pain of ripping my hairs out but it made me look like a complete weirdo. Then my wife wasnt too impressed with this look so she found a product in the chemist which is specifically for removing sports tape Its basically an alcohol based product which disolves the adhesive. Works a treat.

Just suck it up Princesses. If you like crack you clearly like a bit of pain. Pull the hairs out and be done with your metro-climbing ways.

Jamming is fun! Tape just slows you down. I havent used it for years. Heres a pic of "savage journey" 22 at the lost world.

Lost World is a smaller crag next to the Organ Pipes on Mt Wellington in Hobart:

It is an awesome little crag! Nice crack routes, and bolted aretes (that are probably really good, but are too hard for me).

And maybe to bind and gag the infamous Mt Wellington carpark thief, who rumour has it was finally captured this weekend!

Only if you get them in pink and paint your nails. I thought they work really well! I used them on a roof fist crack and they seems grip solidly and not slip around on my hand.

Hey, great photo John! I agree with you for the most part about jamming without gloves or tape, although jamming sharp granite is probably more enjoyable with tape/gloves. If you're wondering who I am, it's Aly, your Araps climbing buddy from Melbourne.
