That I now have to ask for ibuprufen and codine tablets over the counter and they only come in 12 packs. While I'm trolling chemist shops for painkillers does any one want to by some packs of psuedo?

12 packs? WTF? That'll last less than 2 days. How can you tell if someone's trolling chemists when they have to go back every 2 days anyway?

12 in a pack, or 12 x packs?
Sounds like yaneedtagoclimbing ww&s, or commiserate over a few with ww to take your mind off it?

Actually, the codeine helps you harden up pretty well... It's rather like a spoonful of cement, or at least after a few days on it it can certainly feel like you've been eating parts of the hoover dam.

Interestingly, codral original still comes in a 24 pack... I had to hand over my driver's license to buy a pack which seems a little draconian though...

And blame the amphetamine trade on the government?

[Yes, I feel dirty linking to a fox news story, but it's the first one to hand on what I was after]

Gutted the weather is glorious, my partner and friend are at araps and I'm stuck in Melbourne looking after an injured horse and busted thumb. NOT FAIR!

On a similar vein, stuck inside revising statistics and can't even entertain the thought of a ride thanks to the cold i've had for the last week!

I'm currently 'working' on my thesis. I have not gone climbing for 3 weeks because of it yet I have still got so little done. Totally gutted

yes, that's what I am supposed to be doing... PhD thesis. I didn't climb today, so perfect oppurtunity. Yet, it's 6.11PM and I've found time to do everything BUT the thesis... even replaced the brake light globes in my car that have been out for about 2 months!

Me and a mate were playing silly buggers - and I got my ass handed to me. Smashed my leg up - can now barely walk, fairly gutting considering my NZ ice trip in a month. Such a stupid way to get injured.

Dont worry Steve. I have known you for a long time and I know that you will end up going whether you are fully heaed or not. You will then do hard mountaineering and you will really enjoy it.

The only difference your injury will make is the monty python style story at the pub. I can picture it now:
"Thats nothing! When I climbed mount cook I started with two broken legs and it got worse from there..."

Not so much gutted but more annoyed/fustrated because one belay loop set up for solo aiding is not enough! Well it is but two would be awsome.
