I'm stoked I went climbing today for the first time since falling and hurting my ankles. They handled it fine. The bushwack into the crag and then back didn't give me any grief either.

Also placed my first ring bolts today. Can't say I'm exactly stoked about it but it was going to happen eventually. And rodw and widewetandslippery were pretty stoked to have turned me to the dark side. I'm sure there will be some flaming to come form that direction.

Im more stoked 5mins after the bolting incident, wombat mentioned retroing another route......he said it was originally his anyway...I said no one owns the rock...wetandslippy put an obscure bolt in then chopped it just to show his frustration ...the planets aligned and thats when I realised we are all doomed....totally stoked.

Btw Wombat Ive got your helmet and draws....the draws you will probably need so ill give it back but Ill sell ya helmet on ebay now your a sport climber. :)

Cool. I just emailed you regarding the draws. Forgot about the helmet. Put it on ebay if you want. I'll sell one of your static ropes to some gullible speed rappeller and buy a new one.

I'll have to work out a way to get that stuff back. I kind of need it.

Actually, I still have 5 draws hanging on my harness.

If I get desperate, I can always go and climb some of your routes.

On train now. Heading to the Wolgan.
The weather report is brilliant.
Climbing and sleep (two days without a little boy waking me at 5am). No alpine starts just civilised cragging.
Damn right i'm stoked.
