Garem woka boss! Liklik nomoa distaim. I picked up an old/previous client last week - owns one of the major hotels in Honiara and has a whole pile of hotels and bars in the Western Province (where we are eventually heading). I now have to learn to support the Opera point of sale system - everyone uses it in hospitality here (and Oz) so it's better than just having to fix computers.

Stoked that I am back to climbing at my peak! And it was all from climbing outdoors, none of this indoor stuff(I love being at uni!)

Super stoked I managed to drag my carcass (seconding) up Skink yesterday. The climbing from the cave to the top made me happy!

Love Skink. It makes me happy too. Stoked for you. When are you going to lead it?

Thanks Sol. At present 10s are my lead limit. Given I'm having a tough time getting out on the rocks of late it may take a little while before I lead that beast. I'm dying to lead Archnus too...

10's plenty.

At least that's a possibility in Victoria. There's not much climbing in NSW that's worth doing at that grade.

But if you can get to 13 or so, definitely have a lash at Margerine Ridge on Mt Hay in the Blueys - it's an absolute rip snorter at the grade!!

Ditto The Phantom at Piddo. I was leading 19 or so when I lead that and crapped myself 12 different ways.

Let me know if you want a partner I've been wanting to climb that since I first went to Araps. x

When I did Arachnus, the chick I was climbing with headed off to lead the second pitch, placed her first piece, then started yanking on it with both hands. Had it popped she would have landed on the ledge next to me from about 7 or 8m up. When I got up to look at it, it was a rubbish placement too.

Stoked that I've never climbed with her again (and yes, I explained why she shouldn't do that ever again too).

7/8 meters up flipping heck thats a long way - I was impressed last weekend when I think I got 2meters above gear - but well easy climbing and no gear -otherwise I'd still put some in x

Stoked that I'm heading to Araps on Friday until Monday. Super stoked that I am lucky enough to have a wife who'll let me when we have a 3-month old.

BTW if you do climb Arachnus, I recommend heading straight up from the 2nd belay to the top rather than heading out to the cave on the R arete. Saves a heap of time and makes a really nice long pitch.

Stoked I had my first day at Flock Hill. I don't need to start a TR thread. It went like this:

Fcuk that looks hard. Wow! I flashed it.

Fcuk that looks easy. Jesus Fricking Christ on a stick, Watch ME!

I have never climbed on limestone. I have a long way to go before I can see these routes. These top outs are evil. If you haven't climbed here, imagine
mantling up on to a great big beach ball. Slopey insecure nonsense.

Desperate and completely utterly stoked!

Hi Sara,

I'll touch base with you next time I head out Arapiles way. Given the little one is only 3 weeks old, and seeing I took an emergency climbing trip with the boys I'm not sure when I'll be back. On the bright side I've been out to Werribee Gorge twice in the last week. I'm almost ready to start self belay TR, just waiting on a WC ropeman Mk2 (and larger cojones) and then I'll be set....

Hmm.

I am stoked in obtaining new 'approach' shoes yesterday, as I now won't feel so bad about wrecking my current pair on aid climbs in the near future!

Confirmed flight for Sunday.. whoop will be back in Oz late Monday (fingers crossed) And possibly another week off work? maybe?

Also stoked that it's been sunny and nearly not cold all day whoop!

Not so stoked that I set the microwave on fire -anyone know how to get rid of soot? x
