I'm stoked that despite heading up an off-width corner with nothing bigger than a 3.5 camalot I was able to find a big chockstone to wedge in the 10 cm wide crack. Old school fun indeed!

Not real stoked that my 83 year old Grandmother had a fall this morning and had to go to hospital, meaning that I had to take my RDO today instead of Friday, when I was going to be in the Wolgan.
But I'm STOKED that she appears to be OK.
And the Wolgan will still be there on Saturday.

Im stoked that this 'study' week before exams is not going to be used for study. Im also stoked that others have the same thoughts on this so called 'study' week as me. Im stoked that im going to the Glen tomorrow.
Im less stoked that to much climbing and not enough study makes Olbert a poor, jobless boy.
Im stoked that being a poor, jobless boy will allow me to become a climbing bum.

I'm stoked that my daughter is coming home for the (Melbourne long)weekend with her boyfriend who wants to be introduced to climbing and motorbiking; as well as the fact that she wants to do more of them herself.
(It is good to have a win where pleasant family commitments are made even better by lining up with preferred pastimes)!
... am thinking a bike trip to Noblesse Oblige (if it isn't weeping), should fit the bill nicely, followed by some other shorter stuff on top of the mtn.

Shouldnt you be attempting to scare off any boys interested in your daughter like any good father? Especially those boys interested in such dangerous things as climbing and motorbiking.

I must already be scary, for he has been around a while now and it seems is only just getting the nerve to ask me to teach him these activities.
They are old enough to make their own choices and I am happy to support this. Who knows, he may one day drag me up some projects I may not be able to complete otherwise!

are you going to teach him to aid climb?

Depends if he's trying to scare him off or not

I doubt my 'luck' would extend that far, but if I was asked then I'd consider it favourably.
I tend to regard aid as my fall-back preserve, in still setting myself projects that I can achieve without having to rely on others.
... unlike my free climbing, where I am becoming increasingly happy to follow others up the harder (for me) routes!
Post edit;
To answer your question more clearly; ... No, not aid.
Noblesse Oblige is a long easy slab route at Buffalo. Minimal gear required, and has a good wilderness feel to it.

Stoked 'cause I just scored some work for a few weeks contracting - don't have to be a dole bludger any more for the time being (it always happens here in Canberra, you leave it until the point that you are desperate - maxed credit card - gone on the dole, then you score some work). Now, anyone got a nice full time position for me?? (emphasis on nice).
