So freakin true it's not funny Neil. My partner and I are looking for our first place now and we've got some big travel times ahead of us if we want anything more than a shoebox

The ALP / (C)RUDD have lost the next election , now, as a consequence of kev's irresponsible air-gitaring / greenbacks-in-the-garter-belt antics in New York ...

No sorry I've gone to join the cult of Howard.

Just a reminder re the original subject of this thread.

Howard is going to have to call the election soon. Some pundits are saying he'll call it this week (probably at half time during the league grand final, so that hopefully nobody hears it).

Thanks to laws recently pushed through by the conservative coalition, once the election is announced, you will have VERY LITTLE TIME to fix up your status on the electoral roll.

First time voters who are not on the roll, or people who have dropped off the roll for any reason, will have to register ON THE DAY that Howard announces the poll.

If your status needs updating, you will also have to fix it quick.

http://www.aec.gov.au/About_AEC/Publications/Fact_Sheets/Close_of_Rolls.htm

So, fix it now.

Or, policies that merely benefit people who live in marginal electorates!
