Ha! Never! (In fact I may be moving closer to the rock - will tell you about it later).

However I do hope that you'll be up for something video worthy, or at least someone will. I intend to spend most of the day behind the camera, so if anyone has plans for a hard tick, please let me know prior to your ascent. At the last gathering I tried to divide my time between video, climbing and socialising pretty much evenly, and as a result I felt my footage was rushed and I didn't get to meet enough of you.

I've also had emails from two or three new comers to the sport asking me if they can come along, and my response has been that everyone is welcome. So if someone politely asks for a go on your top rope or something, or just appears to be wandering around looking out of place, please make them feel welcome. I have made sure they understand they are responsible for themselves.

Hope to see you all on Sunday, and here's hoping for sunny weather!

last time I was a Camels Mr Kentastic was gunning for an ascent of Satanic Verses. Rumour is he has been saving the clean ascent up for the C-S gathering....

If the weather craps out just bring your ice tools and crampons for some sweet mixed climbing. I hear Boogie is a classic at M5+

Sadly, looks like "God's Barbeque" has another date on the day, but little brother will be dragged along. Hopefully there will be enough room on it. And I've written a note to myself to make sure there is gas in the bottle...

I've got a modest size gas BBQ that I'll bring along. What time does it all kick off? I still have CFA training in the morning but should be able to make it by about 11.00am. I think it will be pretty damn cold up at Camels so bring plenty of warm cloths.

Are we still going to try a gear swap meet at the carpark? We need to make a definite time - i guess the same time as lunch. Lets make it between 1and 2pm. Sound ok?

Perfect bouldering temps Phil!

Tel, Robin. Are you guys still keen on bouldering Sunday? I will be arriving most probably at the leisurely time of 11 am to match Robin's arrival time.

Look for the blue Kombi or the guy with the Cordless bouldering mat.
