do we know any wierd moderators B1? i think we do B2!!
though im personally opposed to the idea of putting men in cans of spam. i was thinking about making a union for the protection of men against being shoved into cans of spam, and just thinking about it was the most rewarding experience of my life thus far.
because face it, how would you like it some crazy guy named rod with a moustache and oversized forearms came and put you in a can of spam? i know i wouldnt like it, and mattynoob definately woulldnt like it (hell the guy doesnt even like getting in boxes, an experience which I myself am quite partial to)
is there anyone on here who has been shoved into a can of spam before? was it pleasant? would you say it was enlightening?
on a scale of 1 to 10, please rate the experience for the good doctor here.
if it scores a 1, meaning a highly undesirable and unpleasant experrience, well now you know how the koalas and lizards and berrys in the Tarkine feel when the big machines come through and chop them up into little pieces, like what happened to charlie before the alligator made him into a vacuum that zoomed around sucking up inuits. but more on that later.
you might also take a moment to think of the people of detroit. the dj's seem to love that city, i dont know why, i thought it was a shit heap. i took a bike ride around it when i was about 14 and got lost in a very ghetto area. it was scary. there were scary people. so i found a shop and the scary man inthe shop gave me directions to canada, but only if i said 'gday mate'
then he laughed and i pedalled quite quickly over the bridge to ontario. and that was that.

on the other hand, if it was a 10 out of 10 experience for you, you may just be able to really relate to the [al's turn]

You can't seriously say you wouldn't be annoyed if a skateboarder slid down a rail in a busy train station and cracked your skull? Skiing down an escalator is probably not so dangerous if there was no-one else around. It's just that there's so much potential for hurting innocent bystanders. Climbing, on the other hand, does not endanger others. So this is not really comparable to climbing, and in my opinion, this guy is a selfish d**khead.

not nessesarily, think about a soloist who ventures into extremely difficult terrian, falls, survives but needs rescueing. Now the lives of the rescuers are at risk because they too have to venture into that difficult terrian in order to retrieve him. the situations are endless where others could be at risk because of anothers actions, rockfall onto climbers cos of another being careless higher up? it all fits that catagory.

on a less serious note, mousy i've been in a box. it was small, creepy, dark, and something was drooling on me, i think it had really long hair, funny face and it smelt funny too.... don't know who it could have been.

is this rob? as in "rob" rob? yeah, i know him. we go way back. he was the first woman to introduce me to the art of forcing undesirable certain someones into cans. first he would make me drink all the pineapple juice out of those really large, like 4 litre large, Golden Circle juice tins. suffice to say my lady friends never minded THAT particular hazard of my job. however they weren't the ones who had to deal the splats an hour after consuming all the said juice. back then, we had plenty of undesirables to can. after all, it was 1995, and the world was overrun with joyess people dancing to the macarena.

>like what happened to charlie before the alligator made him into a vacuum

I want to hear more on that now. because i heard there was a small tribe of Irish inuits called the Inuit McInuits who got wiped out by a vacuum once.. They tried to open a fast food chain called McInuits, however were sued by McDonald's for breach of copyright. A fierce battle ensued, and while the McInuits had plenty of potatoes on forks at their disposal, the gigantor corporation of McDonald's called in the help of top notch vacuum assassin of 'charlie, charlie, the vacuum man. if he can't kill it, no one can!'

now one can no longer purchase the great tasting McPotato.......

Been beaten to the punchlines by sabu but since I typed it offline I will post it anyway ...

>You can't seriously say you wouldn't be annoyed if a skateboarder slid down a rail in a busy train station and cracked your skull?
Probably but it has never happened to me and probably not likely to either as Idratherbeclimbing! than frequenting an escalator.

>Skiing down an escalator is probably not so dangerous if there was no-one else around. >It's just that there's so much potential for hurting innocent bystanders.
From what I read on the linked site, the ‘skier’ had mopokes out to protect the few innocents present.

>Climbing, on the other hand, does not endanger others. >So this is not really comparable to climbing, and in my opinion, this guy is a selfish d**khead.
?
Why would climbing be banned on the Breadknife in the ‘Bungles; or on the 3 Sisters at Katoomba if not that authorities are concerned* with dislodged rocks being dangerous to tourists amongst other things?
(*Perhaps also climbing the East face of Crookneck in Glasshouse Mtns falls into this bracket).
What about danger to rescue services personnel when retrieving broken climbers?

Climbing buildings etc is another frowned upon activity due to safety blah, blah.

When I was younger I was probably called a selfish richardcranium for doing such things; … now I am older those same people probably write me off as an irredeemable recalcitrant!, because I can still see the attraction (for some!), in it.
