>what will i regret more in years to come; not having explored my potential, or not having looked after my body?

It is a tough call. That is why I am a believer in enjoying the journey/savouring the moments; ... kind of drawing the middle ground I guess.

I can understand why people like todays sad news about Stephen Anderton (and in the past people like Dan Osman and many others), do what they do and I take them at their word that they accept the risk. What worries me a bit is that those they leave behind did not necessarily accept the risk equally?

mmm,to paraphrase andrew todhunter; is it selfish to partake in high-consequence and entirely optional activities/do we owe it to our professed loved ones to stay alive & intact? but if so, at what point does abstinence from those activities constitute a betrayal of self??

on that note, ive gotta head up the hills for this slideshow... if you're in the area come down to Tres in katoomba for 8pm

I checked the guide and found that it is the only route on Young Galaxians Pinnacle; which is the large boulder situated at the intersection of Mansfield’s and Reed’s Lookout tracks.

Young Galaxians 10 m Gd 22
The obvious crack groove (which faces the fork in the track).
Mike Law, Mike Law-Smith. December 1981.

I stand corrected, as I thought there was more than one route on that ‘Pinnacle’.

18 ft wall = 28ft fall to flat)

also = great times (joint 21st's, rippin up the dancefloor @ banjos, new PB = 2.6 seconds to skoll an
extrta dry longneck with a straw etc)

well im in a helluva lot of pain and all heaps swollen around the ol lumbar. getting re-xrayed tomorrow to see if i f---ed it more...
it was the end of my riding for the w/e and probably the season which is a damn shame ! i had been taking it easy in the pipe after an earlier scare during a warmup run suggesting that maybe i needed to ease into things, so i was just doing cutbacks and handplants on the lip for laughs... then i met good ol mr himbrechts on the side of the pipe & thought id try something a bit bigger for some lens attention (hoping for *something* to fling to sponnos while im laid up a freakin invalid) but it didnt work out so well
