I was chatting with fellow user, Tuan (Timmy), and we were saying how it would be good if there was a t-shirt available to be purchased so other users could reconise one another at gyms crags and out and about.
what do u guys think?

Hmm chockstone doesn't really have a logo other than that bit of text + map in the top left. How about we have a chockstone logo designing competition?

On Joemor's point of stickers I do do sign writing and can probably even do a bunch of computer cut stickers for free if you like once a logo is worked out. Would depend on complexity but if it was simple enough and one color I dont see a problem.
I dont post much here since I am a beginner but have read heaps and picked up some great advice so would be happy to help the Chockstone cause.

"So, which ones Joe?"
"He's the one wearing the white Chockstone T-shirt"
"But, everyone is wearing a white chockstone T-shirt......"

Hey if you can Dunc, that would be fantastic! I did talk to Steve at RH (our sponsor), about T-Shirts once before and he liked the idea, so if someone does come up with a good design I might be able to organise some funding via Steve to do print run, assuming we had sufficient interested parties for sales. Here's what our QLD friends have done: http://www.qurank.com/shirts/
They are selling at $30, so maybe we could base calculations on something similar, or hopefully cheaper. The gathering would be a good time to swap ideas for designs and maybe have vote on which is best, though that doesn't give people very long to come up with something.
PS: Any design needs to have "www.chockstone.org" or at least "chockstone.org" on it somewhere.

I think Dalais idea is a good idea. Bit of advertising for both organisations. Only thing is printing on both sides is going to add to the cost. Maybe having both on the same side would work better.
Mike - no problems once a logo is decided on I shall organise a heap of vehicle stickers to be produced if people are interested.

perhaps we should include a prominent rock formation... castle crag or similar.....

Hey Mike, it might be of interest to Steve to provide a little token prize for the winning logo design... could generate a bit of hype for his online shop...

I think we need to keep it really simple, limit colours uses, nice clean lines. I really like the qurank one, because it is not so much an obvious climbing t-shirt. We don't really wanna walk around looking like tools with a scene from "Cliffhanger" stuck to our backs do we? something similar to Qurank, possible in two colours, or even colour reversal. cool modern look.

I agree, keep it simple and when picking the color of the T-shirt & pick one that doesn't stand out too much. Perhaps the logo could just go on the front of the T'shirt just in the top left hand corner, where the pocket would be on a polo shirt.
Time to get creative...or not

Yeah I think the T-shirt is a great idea, id definatly buy one if it was less than $30.
I like the idea of a simple design too. Ive got something against the "No Fear' style t-shirts that shout "look at me im a rockclimber". Keep it simple i recon.
