Carstenz should only qualify if done in an illegal dash from PNG. Cooperating with the Javanese overwhelming of West Papua is really not kosher.

You are right.
The Freemont mine (Irian Jaya) and the Ok Tedi mine (PNG) are also examples of indigenous peoples being disenfranchised in that (their) area.

... since your idea (ahead of it's time?) has possibly been overtaken by the latter ...

Your popularity was self evident on the HaveachawithHexy thread. I am sure if you contributed to Crux Mag that it would be livened up considerably, though the lag in real time element might not appeal to you.
