To cease the rumors about the climbing gym in Collingwood aka The Mill, yes it is closing August 31st.

The panels will be for sale at $20.00 @ including T,Nuts, and yes some T,nuts are screwed, as prevoiusly mentioned.Yes ,if you want the panels you will be required to take them down your self, with the assistance of staff. The sale of panels will take place 2nd week Sept, but check out the notice board at Collingwood or check with Gareth, he is the source.

The holds will go to Nunawading for sorting and then there will be a sale of pre loved holds. The mats will be also taken to Nunawading and again, there will be some for sale again once they are sorted as most are totally f....d

We were to have been in operation at Collingwwod for another 2 yrs, however the almighty dollar came into play and the developer wants to make his money by putting 39 apartments in the space. So we are closing, well we kept it open for another year longer than sposed to.
So thats the word on Collingwood.

Hardrock will open the new centre in the CBD in 2004, when exactly, we are not sure, but it will be higher than any other gym and there will be lots of bouldering. Memberships will be interchangable at Hardrocks centres, the walls will be a combo, some Rad wall some something else.

Hope this clears up the rumors. Hardrock at Nunawading will also have panels for sale in Sept. We have had panels stored away for the building of the woody, however we deceided not to use the old ones and have purchased new panels. The woody will be operational Mid August.

Though I only climbed there a few times prior to heading OS, it was a damn good venue....

I made some great friends through the mill, its a real shame to see it go, but business is business.

Sue,
good to hear about the interchangeable memberships at the CBD center. Nice to see new some climbs going up at Nunawading recently - keep em coming :). (and now that Collingwood is going we're even more eager for the newe bouldering cave)
