Saturday 25/6 was awesome at PB, it was cold Friday night into Saturday (-10 C), sunny morning. Things started to cloud over and warm up as Sat afternoon-evening progressed, with unfortunately a bit of drizzle in the evening and temps just hovering +/-around 0 C, which meant only groomed stuff was worth it on Sunday 26/6, a humid day too!. The forecast for this week is looking a bit suss, with rain forecasted from Wed onwards (a good thing for those waiting for ice build up at Blue Lake)...I'll skip the snow next w'end, heading BC the w'end after though. Monitor the rain damage this week (if any) before making plans for next w'end, I'd say. If it gets cold enough and they fire the snow guns next w'end it may just be OK - hard to say.

Oh man, are my thighs sore or what! had a solid 8 hrs of tele skiing on Saturday, getting those skiing legs back :-)

Yeh Froggy's got rain forecast in the Alps for Wed-Fri. Sigh, if only it were cold enough.....

When we have such easily accesible front/backcountry, why bother using the lifts?

For easily accessible day trips, check out Machinery Spur (nice cruisy stuff) out from the Orchard at Hotham and directly behind Summit Chair at Falls (steep, steep, steep), very nice indeed.

Just flew over NSW and VIC alps yesterday on the way back from Nowra. Looks like the stuff on top was really thick, though the snowline doesn't extend too far down (ie, high concentration). There was no wind to speak of at altitude either, should be very pleasant during this week I imagine.

Was very icy up at Falls (Nordic Bowl and Rocky Valley Dam) on Sunday, I couldn't get an edge to herring-bone out at the dam, and it has been sunny and warm here since last Thursday. Don't like the look of things until we get some real winter weather again.

If only it were cold enough! Thredbo AWS reports 1.5°C at the moment - just behind Eagle's Nest - Aaargh! Balmy....

Damos, they're now predicting snow showers down to 1500m (2-5cm of snow) for this Saturday - so looks like the system is due to pick up some cold air for the w'end!

it was really good freshie late last week, over the weekend it went all icy, last 2/3 days its been raining and really windy...shit conditions. sposed to turn to snow showeers late tomorrow and we're expecting a big dump over the weekend/early next week.
well since im here anyway...UPDATE! :D
the place here is awesome!! living in a lodge about 50m from the smigs chair and 80m from the pub with about 70 other people, lots of hotties!! i was feeling a little left out because my roomie (oi kaz, he lives at 1miley!) has been bringing home s and ive had to pretend to be asleep, not cool! fortunately ive managed to find a hottie for myself so its payback time :P
ridings been sick, got some cool piccies (i think) and having sooo much fun! anyhow, gotta check my emails with the rest of my credit so cheerio!!
