Well whoopydo! Congratulations on not being sweaty, I'm sure your mum is proud of you.
Have a think about climbers who you respect/look up to. Try finding a top level climber, from the 70's through to the present who doesn't/didn't use chalk. Now think about how these really talented, dedicated people feel about a young dude who's barely spooging his way up 21s telling 'em all off for using chalk.
You'd get your message over much quicker if you talk to people directly. I recommend that next time you see someone like HB, just go up to him and explain how not using chalk "wouldn't influence any of his outcomes"
People are generally quite open to being told what to do by young punks they've never met before. I, for one, really appreciate it.

Welcome back Stugang! Couldn't stay quit, eh? Without wanting to sound too gay, I've missed your enlightened, inebriated commentary.

Hmm. I noticed the return, as well as some clandestine ones earlier.
There must be some interesting 'behind the scenes enlightenment' as motivation to return publicly to respond to an individual on a non life threatening issue!
wallwombat, capt_mulch & simey will be pleased.
Maybe the mods have chilled a bit in the meantime too?
Yes, ... welcome back Stugang. It is a fun addiction is it not?

Similar topic, I wonder if Edward frillypants or orwell will one day return as well? ... or for that matter, if odh is ever going to contribute to short stories thread again?
Sorry but my post was a mistake. The truth is I have nothing left to say, so I don't post. When I have
something to say I will.
However, so that M9 can sleep tonight....I intended to defend an occasionally obnoxious friend as to
his style of ascent of a climb on Taipan wall. But then he farted very loudly on my couch. So I decided
that abusing the bastard was a better tack....so I changed the tone of my message.
Nevertheless, what I was going to say was...Given he would call himself a skier more than a climber
and he has rarely climbed harder than 25 and probably doesn't really know (or care) what "onsight"
really means. I was pretty impressed by his efforts on Taipan that day. (ie. BP's schtick at hanging
shit on Oi was ill conceived)
And then...something like (heaven forbid the TRUTH!!!) ....pratt though he is...he managed onsight
ascents of Father O, Sirocco and Mr J first pitch (though Mr J he f'd up one move seconding the
second pitch) all in one day only 2 days after he got off the plane from Oslo.
Anyway, thanks for the support ODH, I love your work (and you didn't sound gay). As an aside though
I've got a fishing trip in Wyoming with a couple of cowboy mates that you are welcome to join us in....
any takers????? (MrsM10 youre not invited)
Heh, heh, heh.
*Insert sound of sleeping!

Your right he doesn't know what onsight means!
You can't actually onsight anything on a top rope
ie seconding it !
