You will have to write a post to Dear Simey requesting he judge the contest Will P !

>for there is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.
... Will have to rename this thread Dear Eduardo then!

>for there is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.
That is why simey reads this thread and provides sage advice to the enquiring masses to keep it going?

Heh, heh, heh.

This is good. I'll give you ten points towards your UKoB certificate. For an additional 50, can you confirm
that you swam out there with your gear on your thermarest?

Sorry, went the longtail option. One of the three of us swam to AoNang to get a boat though. How many points for taking 70 minutes to redpoint a 35m 6c+, Equatorial? 2 minutes per metre has gotta rate on the bumbly scale.

You are not even in the hunt.

For slowness you ought to try aid sometime as it can run to hours per metre! ... ~> but from what we read early in this thread we know that aid climbers will be disqualified if simey is the comp judge.

No go sorry, in fact, I'm tempted to deduct points. 70 mins is nothing for a red point. I've taken years on
some red points.

Some routes I've done, I've fallen further than route is long if you add up the distance of the falls.

I clearly remember Equatorial being 6c, not 6c+ ...

Probably lost the + because of all the rest options!

Stats like falling further than the route is long, are adding up to become hard credentials to beat for the title.

Intentionally jumping from the anchors and falling nearly the length of the route in one go is more fun...

Lol; yeah, that would classify as high-bumbly status for sane way to get off the climb!

On that note Deep Water Soloists (victory jump), and some (lucky to survive) Mountaineers fall (much) further than their chosen route is long.

What is sane about that?

From here it reckons the process started for quite different reasons and Tamale perished.

It is a pity that it appears to be degenerating into becoming a tourist $ show, and as such, may not be becoming any saner (imo) for all the wrong reasons.

BTW I acknowledge that although not sane, land-diving (or similar), could still be fun for those interested in such activity.

Hey man. If you need anymore info on that route. Why don't you go climb it, make a video to yourself and then bang your head on a wall untill you forget climbing it and then watch the video? Then you can find out all the info you need. And still claim an onsight..... Dear Simey, Is it an onsight if someone bangs their head on a wall untill they forget climbing a route? Or is this a pink point or red point?

Dear Simey, Maybe you should eat less fatty foods, so you don't ruin inocent peoples carport roofs. And what were you all doing there anyway?
Jimminy clip it !!

"...Derek, I've stopped responding to all the beta requests because it's all sounding like a bit of a
troll to me, you keep asking the same questions over and over again, and then come up with
more questions that are not really that serious, like a sit start? what is that!.... the waves will be
crashing around the base on a good day, and smashing up to 6/7 meters up the tote on a
medium swell, then up to 20 m up the tote on a heavy swell day! surely you can't be serious!!!!!
thats why I don't answer your questions anymore!!! It sounds like your trying to have a lend.
I don't react well to people having a go for no reason, look at my past reactions on this site and
you'll find I have a history of flaming the fools on this forum! It has made me unpopular!
But I don't care about that, No apologies, just trying to be true to myself, and say it like it is.
If you are really contemplating having a go at this amazing climb, then do yourself a favour, and
don't demystify it into oblivion, leave some of the adventure in it for yourself and it will be a
memory worth savouring when you are too old to crank any more, and are just a crank!
Your grandkids will love the adventure and gleam in your eye when you tell them, "how exited
and terified at the same time" you managed to "read the sequences" and just barely made it to
the summit block and stood up and shouted "I made it" knowing in your heart that it was you
who did this!!! not a prerehersed pre studied pre cliped (read empty) experience.....!
Just have a lash man!!! whats the worst that can happen? I garantee the experience will be
better not diluting it the way you have been doing so far.
Kind regards [ ur cyber mate ] ... '

Dude !!! its all OK !!! :D

You aint ' unpopular ' !!!

I really haven't repeated any qus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sit start ? --- it DOES get calm SOMETIMES ...

Fair go B !!! --- if I want terror , I'll watch a few episodes of Home and Away !!!
I climb 4 fun !!!!
read the sequence ??? U telling me Monique did the 1st onsight ascent ??? OK so shes a shiela ... HOORAY 4 the GIRLS !!!!

If the bolts are loose, the holds readdy to pop , the pajama sanwitches /mango stew not digesting very well , its gunna be an EPIC !!! , reguardless of how much beta ppl troll ? me with ...

So anyway ... I really want to know , if there are any ' no-hands ' rests on the 2nd pitch ...

... and are there good holds , so I can hang around and clip the bolts ...
