What a good idea climbingjac has presented.
Derek my M10 love, we should attend one of these gatherings and perhaps you will get to meet poster gordoste. From the tone of his posts I am sure he is a lovely fellow, and who knows you might be able to even climb together!

I agree.
Derek (M10) my love, how many times do I have to ask you not to go inciting the neighbours? Sometimes you can be so deliberately provocative and it makes me terribly sad to see you like that.
>please don't get me involved
I whole-heartedly agree with you steph. Niether of us should be involved in such debauchery.
>is mrs M10 cute?
This is a very sad question Mr Bob Saki.
Derek (M10) my love, it is time for us to go now and leave these fine folk to enjoying their website, but I will be checking up on how you are behaving here so please remember that we have standards and behave yourself appropriately in future.

Is anyone actually up for another meeting of the Chockstoners - perhaps at burnley or something with food and socialising? I wasn't a member back in 03 when the last one took place but maybe it's time for an encore!
Would anyone be up for it?

I'd definetly be up for it, even more so if it's at Burnley (just down the road from me)
I too, wasn't around in 03.

Good to see this thread hijacked back onto topic.
:).
There has been a 2nd, 3rd and 4th Chockstone gathering, with various threads associated for them, ~ and this doesn't include the Burnley Wall gathering.
Interest waxes and wanes, and seems to be largely dependent on the weather at the time.
The last one at Teneriffe was too hot and not many attended, so maybe a winter gathering is the go, ... we could always have a real (instead of metaphorical), fireside conversation, though from some of the flame wars over the last 12 months there is no shortage of heat around?
Doubt the trolls will turn up. Those schitzo types with more than one user ID are only one bod at (in?*) a campfire ...
*Heh, heh, heh.

Id be up for a catch up so I could put some faces to names, especially living outside of Melbourne it gets a little lonely finding crew to climb with (note to self should shower more often and wear underwear with baggy shorts when leading). I only just meet Neil M on the weekend and im sure everyone knows him.

So how does a sunday arvo burnley bouldering session sound? in a few weeks from now so we can all book it in...
Everyone has to write their chocky name on their own forehead before attending :D
Bring a bag of chips or lollies (red are my favourite hehe) and it should be a fun chance for the relatively new peoples to put names to faces and argue the 'no chalk policy' once and for all. Just kidding, I promise it won't be mentioned...
Additional thoughts anyone?
