Don't worry about it bob, get there on the day and show 'em all how its done.

On another note, the jumbo barbecue trailer is confirmed for the weekend, and I endeavor to be there by 10.30ish. I suppose everyone will have their own eskies, but for anyone who doesn't, there will be plenty of room in this thing.

Dodgy, you still volunteering to be BBQ bitch?

Excellent news Tim!

Just a reminder that parking is very limited at Dogs itself, so if everyone can leave their cars 300m up the road at the Koala Park enterance picnic area (see PDF below) I think this will work a lot better. There are toliets, picnic tables, running water (apparently) and bins there too so if Tim parks his barby trailer there we can all mosy across for lunch. It's only a 1 min walk and will be better than standing around the barby on the road side.

There's plenty to do for non-climbers, with a very pretty bush walk (about 2 hrs return) from Dogs to the summit, and Koala spotting (they are very hard to find, look at the Manna Gums) for the kiddies. See Park's Victoria map and guide:
http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/resources/05_0625.pdf

The official word is that "dispersed" camping is permitted throughout the park, so if anyone want's to stay over and make a weekend out of it to explore the rest of Mt Alex, feel free to bring a tent.

Steve of RH (Chockstone sponsor) should be there in the morning to just after lunch, and has mentioned (though I can't promise it) a small prize for "hardest lead" or whatever we might decide. I'll also print out the T-Shirt designs and bring them along so we can have a discussion and possibly make a choice.

Great news on weather. Looking forward too seeing you all there!

Roger, I'm going to miss out unfortunatley I have to work, not my choice but I did think about quiting but decided that chocstone probably won't sponser my lifestyle....spewing, on a 28 day I'll be sitting in front of a computer
It seems I'm more of a sell out than a climber these day$.

Have a wicked climb mate, we'll have to catch up for a drink anyways, I was really looking forward to meeting some of the faces behind the text we read almost daily....

Have fun all, climb safe and enjoy the day .... lucky bastards !!!!!!!

Peace : )

I'm with 'BNE' on this one. Sorry I couldn't make it. I can actually see Mt Alexander from my place so it cut me up that I had to go to Melb. for a 60th birthday (partners mother). I'm sure it would have been a great day. Hope I'll get another chance.

Glad to hear everyone had a great day. I really wanted to meet all the fellow Chockstone members but unfortunately had family commitments on the day.

After the success of Saturday's gathering, I hope people are planning on another Chockstone meeting sometime soon...

Cheers Martin
