Re pissing on your hands: I was told a lot of farm labourers did (do?) it to harden up their hands (for hay baling etc). But that was before there was so much mechanisation on farms.

I got some Hoofmaker sent over from the States it's great. It cost me $8USD for the big pump pack. It's very similar to Vaseline Intensive care. After applying it has a dry non-greasy feel. I think Sorbolene cream is just as good and cheaper?

The Rasp wasn't kind to me. I had to teach guitar all week after this too - and pack up the anchors

That said, 'Climb-On Creme' is the knowledge. From the states, not sure if it's available here? Full of good-smelling oils and stuff to grow that skin back ASAP

I think I've go the answer

How about getting a plastic surgeon to remove the skin on your finger pads and replace it with thin grafts of gorilla grip (stuff they stick on surfboards to stop you sliding off). You could have it in skin colour and almost invisible so that no-one knows. Everyone at the crag will be in awe of your fantastic new climbing ability.

It can get prety lonely out on those farms.

I use a steroid gel which is prescription only. You gotta love the 'roids.
