Just read this thread, and would like to remind people of the original question:

"Who do you think are the most influential climbers? Climbers who have changed things for everyone, broken into new ground..."

With all due respect, people, we were asked to comment on people we find inspirational, not to bag those who we think are not. This is supposed to be a "positive thinking, inspirational" thread, after all! And while I'm ranting... as Phil says, HB is a climbing legend... and anyone that says otherwise has me to answer to!

Sorry Mike no review. Not computer friendly enough to sit here for 30 min to type 10 lines. Typing not up to speed. But the book is a real eye opener and well worth a read.

i agree - HB is the shit.. especially sticking to his hard trad ascent ethos with the ever growing trends in sportier ascents. You just have to look at how many routes he's done where there is only one or no repeats! Take Welcome to Barbados for example :)
