The heat is scaring me off a bit but we're still keenish for a climb anyway. If we go there'll be two (maybe three) of us leaving from Brunswick/Greensborough.
Is the alternative private land still available for access? I have climbed there on hot days after 3:30 mostly in the shade. Of course the longish walk to the further areas (esp up the hill) wouldn't be pleasant in the heat.
So again, is there alternative access arranged?
What time and where are people climbing?
thanks,
Richard

The car park below sparrow slabs? I might (would) be later than that though. Probably after midday.
Sorry for tis repeated posting but if we go it'd be a shame to be in the wrong area and I sure we wouldn't be bothered walking around looking for anyone else.

G'day neats; ... maybe you can edit the title of your 1st post in this thread to reflect the fact we are now trying for a (3rd-gone)-now-Fourth gathering?
Yeah rhinckle ! The 3rd gathering was awsome was it not? ... heh, heh, heh. 8))
I agree though about the weather. Anything above 30 degrees and Buffalo starts looking real attractive.
Weather is quite changeable at present. Forecast for tomorrow is snow down to 600 metres; ... you would know it if you were up Buffalo then !

What about Ben Cairn as a venue?
Its easy to get to
Not to hot in summer
Top rope or lead most routes accross a good range of grades
Top spot for a barby (as long as we don't have to carry in the big Jackaroo 12 burner)
Hoax route begging for a second ascent
Best grade 10 in the country (per Bob Saki)
Any takers?
