>...urv gone back to grade7, with Obsessedclimber,now .........Savanah-breath...

Any assumptions are your own!

The irony of being fed your own words was obviously lost, so I will elaborate a little further.
It seems to me that there was a time when things were different, when words meant different things, when achievements were lauded for their worth because they were wrought from boldness and vision ... (At least Tony Dignan thought so and the measure of boldness was set on Clouded Queen for a generation/s to come …?).
Simple things bought pleasure, scary stuff could be fun (if you survived it).
Time out could be riding a bike, enjoying the company of a canine friend, or having a beer with a mate ...
It could also include climbing lines that involved going splat if things go wrong ,,,
... or memorable bivvies in outrageous places with friends.
(Pitons behind biscuits would no doubt have levered the odd one off sometimes …)

Nostalgia is thin on the rice paper in some quarters & too thick in other places at the mo?
... but you have acknowledged these things in the past,,,
..did not think about your (historical) posts eh? ... "after all, it is the internet" (thanx KP).

You fuel desire and encourage thought,,,
... but seldom acknowledge our heritage (other than in a historical sense).

>we won't be seeing (too much more of ) ur lengthy-hypo-crit-ical-drivel about (snip)
>referenced&spinned hexyz brilliance &added f#ck-all else...
Damned if I do and damned if I don’t,,,
.. maybe it’s why this glasshopper enjoys solo?

>drag the addax over to his 'climbing' rack so he can have a THINK about those bat-hookz...
Yeah.
Technology has changed things and we can use a clean rack to now go where before the rock suffered when we did.
Even though I have not drilled one, I will still celebrate any bathook holes I find on (historical) climbs though …
... one day I may even go back to Yosemite especially to find some!

I think my drivel has been consistent, ... eg witness the passion I argued for retaining the bolt on (historical climb) Sultan.

Aw,OK, if youz insist ... --- Hexy can be bothered dragging the addax out of the shin-deep mud , before KP movez in for the kill ...

>Any assumptions are your own!...
>(*I assume they are left fixed)...

If you fancy ur self as such an Australian-aid-climbing-legend, then why haven't you established an on-going, from way-back, rapport with HB ??...what grade is CHR ?, he should f#cking-well-know --- hez soloed Pacific Ocean Wall ! ... is ,some of, the gear fixed ?...errrr I don't really want to know Hexy , cos I am looking forward to the existenial-intrinsick-watching-the-butter-flies-ground-up-free-from-KP-away-from-even-the-bark-of-a-dog expirience...snip...

I'm gen-u-ine-lee pleazed to see you have been inspired by the Neo-Hexy rein-car-nay-shin (--- 2 out of 3 of ur recent posts...nevermind whitch ones ... just leave em as is ...---) have show a very-rounded-thoughtfull-composition ... good to see:-)... the metaphor is the pot...hehehe... plant that when pulled out of itz pot , has a mass of thick, strangled, mattered, confused roots ... ya shake out the old dirt , thin-out the roots a bit, then re-plant it in a bigger pot or in the garden maybe...maybe next to a watering-hole...and then ...VIOLA !!!(thanx JCP...)...the plant thrives...let ur self be fertilized by The HEX ...cos I've got a pretty-good supply of Round-up , if ya start infesting/infecting the CS botanica too much ...

FYI, 4 legs...naaaaaaaaaah !!! ... re : the crux of Clouded Queen... everyone seems to think it is the run-out-bat-hook ' climbing' section ... psych'-crux for some,maybe...the TECHNICAL crux is in fact a roof-section ... I should know............ say no more 'hexy' ......say no more ......................... for now.....*Muhaha'*...SSSSSHHHH !!!

One for the girlz:-))

'...Josune Bereziartu has onsighted Fuente de Energia (8b/5.13d) at the Spanish crag Vadiello. Better known for her redpointing prowess, with three ascents in the 5.14+ range, the Basque climber also onsighted a host of Spanish 5.13b and 5.13c routes in the past few weeks. Bereziartu did a 5.13d onsight in Japan last winter, but Fuente is her first onsight of the grade in Europe. She is one of three women to onsight 5.13d; American Katie Brown did Omaha Beach in the Red River Gorge in 1999, and the French teenage sensation Charlotte Durif did her first 13d onsight in France in August...'

'...nah, i think its good. its easing me into the shock adult life, as i leave the teenage world of boozing, chicks, loud music and school behind, for less boozing, wishing for more chicks, but still loud music, however its in my car as i drive off to work at 6:45 5-6 days a week......i even vaguely remember talking about giving this 'climbing caper' up not so long ago......but i think i came too not long after, and began going through those crux moves on diazapam......all was better for a while...'

'...Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend...'
