Wow, I can't tell if Ev is really into this stuff or just very deep in a made up persona. Either way, what's the conspiracy theories about Port Arthur and Christchurch? Haven't heard of those.

don’t know what’s going on with evan but time to be more forceful?
Don’t be a tool like the trail bike rider who fell off over the weekend and made us use up precious masks shields , gowns and a bed so we could fix his shoulder today. He didn’t like to hear that we just tubed a patient with COVId in Intensive care or that there was another emergency call on the ward for a suspected COVID.
Don’t be a tool and come to the mountains to climb because you think you are going to go to an obscure crag like everyone , hike in, slip and fracture your ankle and then use up our resources bc you didn’t STAY AT HOME.!
We are working 7 days a week , all of us working well into the night trying to figure out how to FIGHT this. If we don’t stay at home , my colleagues and I will be forced to choose WHO LIVES and WHO DIES. I NEVER want to do that. so PLEASE, FFS , STAY AT HOME

So the person that didnt expose themselves to the virus is to be vilified over the person that did , probably by being in a confined space and having weak immunity (#premorbidity). I was called in from the surf yesterday by two Nazis in blue. By the time I had cut myself up coming in where they pointed me to go they were busy ruining the life of the nicest old guy who was isolating himself from unsavoury housemates in Balina. They had thought his van was mine. Being completely mistrustfull of this brainwashed society of do-gooder asswipes I had obviously parked somewhere further away. All my food and water is from my local area. I would be in zero physical proximity with people save the hoards out walking their dogs. So the police told me I could get attacked by bullsharks. Massive suprise , a statement of fear coming from the fun police. Meanwhile tradies are everywhere , people are everywhere , and you know what? Aside from 5g masts going up like mad and roadworks to put new overhead tolling and surveillance still chugging along (essential services) many people are coughing . I reckon heaps of people have this years strain of Wuhan flu. Its even worse than 1997! This poor surfer bloke (who wasnt coughing but did smoke which is digusting) must've taken the bullet for me by approaching his own van , and copped an enormous fine because he isnt bowing to the illogical.

I can't imagine living in a world where everything that's protecting you is somehow flipped around so that it's actually oppressing you, and if you happen to have asthma, cancer or some other health issue then you get zero sympathy. I don't really want to continue this discussion. Stay well Evan.

5g and the welfare state is protecting me? The planned demolition of the cash economy is protecting me? You tell me what your talking about? This particular Corona virus? Is the choice of warfare discourse and the subsequent ideology imposed creating an 'enemy' out of anyone not queing up to actually recieve the real patented virus and I.d chip , is that protecting me? The 'assymptomatic' trump card really outshines the last mass delusion of 'possible terrorist'. Its a suprisingly calm existence however in Tavistocks 'snow is black' land , where msm calls the shots and controls the narrative irrespective of reality. Dont sympathise with me , I will be mobbed in due time.

Eh bro, have you been bothered by the unwashed masses asking for a look at your protective gun and ammo collection that’s stored in your nuke proof bunker too?

No, I fraternise with those types. They are always being invaded by the Chinese or the Indo's , not realising their totalitarian communist chairman is sitting in Parliament laughing with a peice of coal in his hand. Hopefully they will use their guns to destroy the masts going up. Maybe someone needs to paint some slanted eyes on the microwave weapons.

Shouldn’t this thread be retitled The anarchists subversion thread?

Hmm. Covid 19 Affect on climbing? ... It has certainly distracted attention away from bolting and access issues if nothing else!

I reckon more than a few of us will start going stir crazy before it has run its course too.

If I was a boulderer I’d take the opportunity of home training to be strong as, and draw up a wishlist of projects to crush post C19; but I’m not, so will continue climbing at my modest level when allowed, and meantime spend my leisure time preparing for remote motorcycle tripping to deserts and other far flung places when opportunity arises; as that kind of logistical, physical and constructive distraction, plus having a dream to aim for, is good for morale.

To stay fit for the future while traveling is off the current agenda, I’m solo mountain biking in the local hills, and finding being outdoors relatively alone, along with the odd ride induced adrenaline surge, also beneficial for mind and body. This works as a local solution for me, and if climbing or surfing was closer to hand then I’d chase that solo too.

Usually my elbows can just cope with one outdoor boulder a week, but with the lock down I've just bought a hangboard so at least hope to keep some of my already failing strength... Will just need to moderate its use.

House arrest has me watching 92yr old farts climbing multis..

Between this and getting 3/4 through my 'Living Rock' book , I can just pretend like the streets arent crammed with brainwashed fascists all dobbing each other in , lockstep with the totalitarian deathmarch.

Hey M9, I'm also hitting up the forest trails around my home on the mountain bike and loving it. I was a tad worried when talk of a surfing ban came in but the news tonight stated surfing is allowed if you live on the coast so yippee!! Twas a bit weird to be able to swim at my local breaks as thats exercise but if I grabbed my board I could be fined.

On that the local constabulary have been seen at our surf spots checking number plates and licences.

My favourite local spot, Blacknose point was going off Tuesday and only 14 in the water instead of 60+, locals only. Haven't seen that since the late 70s. I'm guessing that will be the same for climbing at Araps and the gramps, locals only.

Good to know SC.
*Insert thumbs up here*!
Australia is great in that we are blessed with an abundance of outdoor pursuits that are mostly 'local' to where we happen to live!

Finally "locals only" has some backing from proper authority figures. Think how many more waves you'll catch now that you don't have to bail early to slash some wankers tires.

Grampians, Arapiles, Buffalo, Werribee Gorge, Cathedrals, You Yangs - all closed as of midnight last night.

Parks have now one-upped themselves on 'the largest climbing bans in the world'.

Not a fan of PV, but in this case the request came from the health services so I don't have a problem with it. We all need to support the folks in the trenches.

I am a very infrequent viewer of this forum and even less frequent poster tending to waste time on UKC instead.... I was amazed to realize that people were still going out climbing- in the UK, albeit with much higher rates of CoVid disease- all such outdoor activities have been strongly discouraged/banned for some weeks now. No doubt Evan would have a view on this. But really "guys" this is serious. If we do not socially distance ourselves properly and limit our wanderings we run the risk of spreading the virus and placing those who are at the front line (healthcare/police/mountain rescue etc.) at high risk. Anyone undertaking unnecessary risky activities at present is being thoroughly antisocial and an arse. As Shazza (I think) mentioned it is simply not fair to risk placing those who provide healthcare to increased risks just because the rest of us do not want to do what we are asked. Many people who are infected will not know it and will pass the virus on without realizing. I am sure everyone reading these posts knows this? or are some so bored that they are trolling away from their dark little rooms. Our hospitals are half empty for a reason. If we do get a surge of Covid patients we will all be grateful that the wards are not full of numpties who have hurt themselves out climbing etc. Risking inflaming the govt to impose Stage 4 restrictions is not a great idea. So stay home, stay safe, and let those of us who have to work with patients (possibly with limited access to PPE) do so knowing that everyone is helping in whatever way they can.
