Anyone use grid references?

A lot of the old guidebook notes/updates have 6-digit grid references. These are only accurate to 100m in any case, vary depending on map projections and (I've found) are sometimes plain wrong.

Does anyone value grid references in relation to crags? I'm thinking I can just remove them (for the upcoming guide) as they're logically replaced by lat-long coordinates by GPS.

I'm happy to drop grid references. I love maps but GPS lat/long makes much more sense these days.

I use them to generate lat/long values, but aside from that, I don't find them at all useful.

Happy to drop them in favor of lat/long which is really a sort of grid system anyway

Out of interest what calculation/site/tool are you using to convert these?
