Calling all folks with a historical South Aussie connection!

It’s BOLFA time! The magazine shared by CCSA and UniSA rock climbing clubs. We’re seeking articles on the SA history theme to commemorate CCSA’s 50th anniversary, on all things climbing, bouldering & mountaineering.

Short articles with pics are very welcome, e.g. 500 words. If you’d like to do a long one, feel free to contact me with your ideas first. Or don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

The deadline for article submissions is Friday 30th June: bolfa@climbingclubsouthaustralia.asn.au Thanks!

Watch this space for news of our big 50th party in Adelaide later this year :)

Rock on,
Kylie

BOLFA article submissions are almost due - Friday 30th June! To celebrate CCSA’s 50th birthday, we’re especially keen for SA-themed stories of times gone by.

bolfa@climbingclubsouthaustralia.asn.au - any questions, just sing out!

Thanks and cheers,
Kylie

Hi there,

Unfortunately the old Bolfas are a bit hard to get at the moment, and volunteers are thin on the ground for digitising. I'm not sure what dates are in there, but there are at least a few. I also know that there are large gaps :/ I have made a big note about our thread, and when digitising old Bolfas happens (possibly a project for 2018), I will let you know!

Cheers, Ky

Hi there,

We've been through our Club archive box recently and the unscanned BOLFAs we have are #4 (1976), #6 (1977), #7 and 8 (1978), #9 and 10 (1979), #11 and 12 (1980), #13 (1981), #15 (1985). My apologies for the delay, and less-than-ideal news that I don't have time to scan them because I'm about to go on a big overseas trip, and it would have to wait until after I return in March.

If you need information before then, perhaps advise me your email address and I could put you in touch with my fellow committee member and friend Paul who has the old BOLFAs, and maybe he could look something up for you and scan a couple of articles.

Kind regards,
Kylie
