The Bridge to Total Freedom... If that is as much of a classic as you say it is, then I think it needs a new name because that one certainly isn't giving me a hard-on.

Google it Simey, I think its kinda funny.

The other suggestion was "The one that says bad motherf---er". We did a vox pop of youngish climbers and none of them got the reference.

That's brilliant. I'm scared to contemplate how you came across it...

That's sad, but when you think about it - it's 22 years & counting since that wallet was stitched.

Interestingly during the TV F-word prohibition implemented by Paul Keating, Pulp Fiction had about 15 minutes shorn off, including that line & they did a weird zoom thing where you couldn't see the word "F-ker".

Almost off topic now, but here is a link to the original thread that sparked this current thread (for con_text); as these things are often harder to find in the mists of future time.
Heh, heh, heh.

While it is kinda funny, a clunky title borrowed from Scientology does not necessarily maketh a good route name.

I didn't get the reference either, so I suppose that makes me young too.

Hopefully next time I'll find inspiration for a route name as good as "The Prow", or "The Free Route"

I agree. They are shit uninspired names. That is why I don't want you to make the same mistakes.

One Day Hero wrote: Ah, I'm a late starter in this game. Maybe Gerry would be kind enough to share the story behind the climb 'Gerry Does Dallas'. It's a good one. That route has now been superceded in the gorge by the new classic done last weekend called: Damo Does Donkeys..a similar theme

I quite liked the route names - wonderful alliteration and quite poetic.

much better than damo's pseudo intellectual Scientology allusion.
