For sure.. it really captivated me and was well worth it. Big landmarks make it easier to read than most things on bluff. Ginsberg looks great too! Maybe this winter.

For any that may not be aware of it; Uluru, even by the tourist route that until today was tolerated, is now officially no longer on the 'coolest' list.

Were you as relieved as I was when you made it to the only well bolted anchor on the entire climb about 2/3 of the way up? Did you also spend ages wondering where the hell the start was?

The start was fine because I know from following contemporary guides doing Neruda that they are all wrong. Getting sucked into hours of bullshit because noone writes 'left of nose' is a right of passage. My friend who lives out there has a very old route description that indeed says left of nose , but since then a simple error has been copied over and over. And I am definately buying Tim Hasnoot a case of beer for that belay. I approached it via some grade 24 climbing between Ginsberg and Aladinsane and was absolutely blowing chunks to free it. Once again the guide said loose steep corner in orange rock.....its not a corner , but god I wish I had taken it , within 10m I knew I had given myself unnecessary challenges. Good early finish though and back to Ogma saddle with lots of day light to spare. My fav so far on Bluff has been Ulysses , its somethin else.
