Has anyone tried to get to the Blue Mts today? |

We were thinking of taking the kids up to see some snow in Blackheath - our friends have informed us it's still plentiful...
But there was supposed to be trackwork with a bus going from Springwood to Lithgow.
Now the roads are closed...
I thought perhaps they did the logical thing and kept the trains running - thought doesn't seem that way.
Any news?

Wouldn't bother, highway is still closed with black ice. Once it opens it will be busy. Then, once it cools down again by about 4pm, the ice will begin to re-form. Lots of numptys have slid off the road in the last 36 hours.
We're not going anywhere in Mt Vic today.
Yesterday was a 16km ski tour from my front door! It included skiing to the top of Viparete at Mt York. Unfortunately the 'Arete was not in skiable condition.

Wow sounds awesome.
Such a shame Australia isn't prepare for snow. Wish my kids could experience it.
